Review plate condition, mounting tape, contact across the image, and pressure between anilox, plate, and substrate. Both too much and too little impression can disturb transfer, so a visual symptom alone does not define the correction.
Compare the printed side, surface uniformity, coating, absorbency, cleanliness, batch, and any material change. A more absorbent or irregular surface can make the same transferred ink film appear weaker or less even.
Review when water or other approved additions were made, whether ink is drying on the plate or anilox, airflow near transfer surfaces, dryer condition, press changes, and the amount of ink being transferred. These variables interact and should not be changed together.
